Back from framers

I picked up the wedding sampler from the framer today, and thought I'd share the finished product.  I am really pleased with how it all came together.  I just wish I could get a better photo of it.  Once stitchery is under glass, it's difficult to photograph.  Also, I've been less than thrilled with the quality of my photos in blogger lately.  They look fuzzy and small.  I still can't figure out how to get the images to show up as large as they used to.

I am thinking of asking for a new camera for Christmas.  Either that or a piece of cookware from LeCreuset.  Which one would you want?

I'd much rather have a fancy camera than new kitchen ware. I'd go for the camera. I love my camera and use it EVERY day. The cookware, not so much. We actually can have leftovers now! Not as much cooking going on here.

LOL, my answer is the total opposite of Lynn's! I prefer cooking to picture-taking, so I'd opt for a piece of Le Creuset. I found a good-sized pot at Tuesday Morning two Christmases ago and it was the best $$$ I've spent for kitchen gear (well, neck in neck with my KitchenAid). We use the heck out of that pot and it's the easiest thing in the world to clean up. I'd love to have one or two more in different sizes.

How beautiful! The frame really enhances what was already a gorgeous piece.

Me? The camera. But not without a small twinge of regret. I love love love baking bread in Le Creuset (I did at my sister's). Costco has a knockoff that I might have to have.....

Lovely frame and lovely mat! Great choices to set off a lovely piece :^)

At this stage in my life, I'd probably go for the camera, because ours has a fuzzy spot near the center of the image. I'm not sure if it's the lens or something internal but I suspect internal - it seemed to happen after I used the camera on the Maid of the Mist tour at Niagara Falls...

For me, I'd go for the camera. But maybe it's because my cooking skills don't warrant fancy cookware...

P.S. The sampler looks beautiful framed!

Thanks for the nice words about the finished sampler. It's always so difficult to select a mat and frame.

Lots of votes for a camera here! The latest news on Kindle, though (public libraries will be lending e-books through Kindle, and hello Kindle Fire) I am thinking of adding that to my list. I wonder if I can get hubby to spring for camera, Le Creuset, AND Kindle? (hahahahaha. Any of you who know my husband will see that for the joke it is.)

I tried checking out ebooks from my public library, and the software system they had was a major pain to use with Macs. But since you aren't a Mac family, that doesn't apply! Either way, I'm sure it will be easier with something like a Kindle.

My eldest wanted a kindle for his birthday. He didn't get one - and 3 or 4 days later is when they announced the Kindle Fire. But I was surprised recently reading someone's review on GoodReads where they said to NOT read a certain book on the Kindle, because it didn't have the illustrations. What's the point of that?? I wonder if the color ones (Nook and now Fire) don't have the same limitations?
