Just "Merried"

My niece's wedding was last weekend. It was a blustery day outside, but it didn't rain. The ceremony was beautiful.
My niece made all of the decorations herself. She used silk flowers for everything: her bouquet; the bridesmaids' bouquets; the corsages for the groom, the groomsmen, the parents, and the grandparents; and all of the floral arrangements in the church and at the reception. If you see something floral in these photos, my niece made it.
The hanky was her something old, borrowed, and blue, courtesy of me! It belonged to my grandmother, brought from Germany when my mom moved here over 50 years ago.
Here is their getaway car! The misspelling of Married is a little joke between the bride and groom. I must say, they were quite a merry pair on their wedding day. At the end of the ceremony when the pastor presented them as the new Mr. and Mrs., my niece raised her arms in the air and shouted "Woo hoo!" (She's always been an open book. That's one of the things I love about her.)
All of the cupcake trees and the pie serving plates belong to my sister and my niece. The decorative touches are courtesy of my niece. The bride and groom had pumpkin pie, and the guests had cupcakes!
I bought her the forks from this etsy shop and gave them to her as a shower gift. I know some women would despise being thought of as Mrs. anything, but not my niece. She couldn't wait to be Mrs. E!

She was my flower girl in my wedding in June 1992. Every time I think about it, I get a little misty.
Godspeed to the happy couple!
