Poor neglected blog

Hello!  Is anyone still out there?

I'm still here.  I just don't make time for blogging any more.  I mentally compose blog posts nearly ever day, but I never sit and write them.

Here are some things I've worked on recently.  I made this little sweater for my newest niece:

It's called In Threes and is available on Ravelry here if the link works.  I used Knit Picks Swish yarn in the color Marina (I think) and loved every minute of knitting this.  I might have to make another for my great-niece, who will be 3 years old already this summer.

I am also stitching Yellow Submarine, by Blackbird Designs:

I took this photo awhile ago, because by now I have all of the submarine stitched and have moved on to all the fun motifs around it.  This is on 32 count linen and it is driving me crazy!  The BBD women are at least 10 years older than I am--how can they design on such a high count?  They must have someone else stitch the sample. Either that or they have fantastic eyesight and endless patience!  But I love their designs.  They create whimsy without making things cutesy.

Spring is making an effort where I live, and we've had a few very warm and sunny days.  We are starting to see buds and shimmers of green.

I feel sad, though, because in less than two months my son will graduate from high school.  Spring is an ending this year.

Oh, hello.

Yes, I feel your sadness. Children will grow up. It's such a surprise. Ours are all in their thirties but I haven't got used to them not living with us yet.

Quick, post again before a year has passed!

(who am I to talk about reviving neglected blogs? a hypocrite, that's who!)

Hi, hope you are still reading your blog...seems a shame you are not current; you have lovely projects. Just love knitting and your Blackbird submarine is beautifully stitched. So if you are reading, hi from me and continued Happy Stitching!
